PhD in Organic Chemistry

In Spain, the adaptation of higher education to the convergence criteria of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) has led to the establishment of three official cycles of university study: the bachelor’s degree, the master’s degree and the doctoral degree. The objective of the third of these, the doctoral degree, is to acquire competences and skills in quality scientific research by conducting an original research project under the guidance of a supervisor and within the framework of a doctoral program, culminating in the presentation of a doctoral thesis. The successful defence of this thesis earns the student the title of Doctor.

In this context, the University of Barcelona offers our doctoral program in Organic Chemistry, a program which is subject to the procedures of the University of Barcelona’s internal quality assurance system (IQAS) and which has been always recognized as a high quality program.
