Born in Sunderland UK, with BSc, MSc and PhD degrees from the University of Manchester, Dr. Lloyd-Williams joined the University of Barcelona in 1988 after postdoctoral work at Arizona State University, USA. He is currently Associate Professor at the Organic Chemistry Section in the Chemistry School at the University of Barcelona, located at the Barcelona Knowledge Campus (BKC). He is member of the group "Synthetic Methodology Applied to Bioactive Compounds" (SMBioCom) at the Institute of Biomedicine of the University of Barcelona (IBUB).
His research is based on the application of organometallic cross-coupling reactions to the synthesis of biologically interesting molecules.
